Follow these step by step instructions for a more confident and comfortable experience with your baby sling.

How to buckle your Sling-O-Mama and put it on:

Pass the tail/strap through the two rings. Bring the tail/strap back over the first ring and under the second. Pull tail/strap about 12 inches past the rings. Decide which shoulder you want the sling to rest on. Most people choose the shoulder that is opposite their dominant hand. So, if you're right handed the rings would be on your left shoulder. Place the sling over your head resting the rings just below the shoulder. As your baby gets bigger and heavier you can lessen the strain on your back by spreading the fabric across your shoulder, creating a cap, and by wearing the rings lower. Adjust the sling by pulling the tail. This makes the pouch smaller. The longer the tail the smaller the sling and vice versa. Smaller people and infants will have longer tails while larger people and toddlers will have shorter tails. Ease baby into the sling by holding the pouch open with one arm and holding baby with the other. Face baby in the direction you want baby to face. While supporting baby's weight (and head for younger infants), pull the tail to tighten the sling. Adjust the front and back rails of the pouch independently to customize and perfect baby's fit in the sling. Pull the outside edge of the tail, just below the rings, for the back rail of the pouch and the inside edge of the tail for the front. Hold babies bottom while you adjust the size of the sling, or sit in a chair. Supporting baby's weight in the sling makes it easier (and safer.) Once baby is securely in start moving! Baby will love the rocking motion (womb associations). If you are still too long baby might protest. To remove baby from the sling pull the bottom ring away from your body, loosening it just enough to make it easy to lift baby out.
